K-12 Tutoring

Studying is a learned art.  Become a better student.

Different students require different approaches to learning. Sometimes they need help with specific classes; sometimes they need help with scholastic skills.  Working with a tutor can accomplish both of these goals.  Tutoring focuses on achieving short term and long term goals.

Tutoring sessions typically last between 1/2 to 1 hour and occur once a week.  Some students, however, benefit from multiple tutoring sessions a week. Ed.U offers a PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP for students who receive tutoring 5 days a week.

Ed.U coordinates with the National Tutoring Association (NTA) to provide quality training to its tutors.  All professional tutors are background checked.

Reading

We help students master word sounds, spelling, and comprehension by utilizing phonics, sight words, and other reading tools.

Writing

Students practice putting their thoughts on paper, organizing their ideas, and revising their content.

Math

Students complete math problems with the help of a one-on-one tutor.  Access to a whiteboard, flashcards, and manipulatives satisfies the kinesthetic and visual aspect of learning math.

Science

Students review scientific concepts from class.  They translate these concepts into experiments, mathematical equations, and prose.
